Stanislav Angelov is a Cape Town-based, Bulgarian born Classical Accordionist who has lived in South Africa for the last 25 years. Besides a solo career, he’s a leader of several instrumental groups with one of them being the ever popular, SAMA nominee CT Tango Ensemble (which listeners often hear on Classic FM).
He plays an unique instrument which was custom built for him in Italy one year ago. The Accordion is fully hand made. It was built in solid Walnut wood which was aged for 40 years before the instrument was built. The wood was treated as you’d if you were building a Violin or Cello. Hence the unique sound that comes out of this instrument under the masterful execution of Stanislav.
The program will include music by JS Bach, Fr. Chopin, P. Frossini, R. Galliano, A. Piazzolla and more.
